Easy Beef Osso Bucco recipe with a low carb twist!
💥 INGREDIENTS
• 2-3 lb Beef Shanks
• 10-12 ounces of crushed tomatoes
• 1 cup Beef Broth
• 1 cup Merlot
• 2 tablespoons minced garlic
• 1/2 Yellow Onion (diced )
• 1/2 cup Celery
• 10- 15 baby carrots
• 3 Tbsp Olive Oil
• 2-3 tablespoons of Caribeque Big and Bold Beef
💥 DIRECTIONS
• Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Add 2 tbsp of olive oil to pan. Season the shanks with Caribeque Big and Bold Beef
• Cook until browned on each side. Once browned, remove the shanks from the skilet and set aside.
• Add 1 tbsp. of olive oil to pan and add onion, celery, and garlic to the pan. Cook until the vegetables are soft.
• Add Merlot and beef broth to the skillet and whisk the drippings into the liquid.
• Pour the liquid mixture into your slow cooker and then place the beef shanks into the mixture. Pour the crushed tomatoes on top.
• Cook for 8 hours on low or 4 hours on high.
• In the last hour add your baby carrots so they are fork tender
• Place on top of a bed of cauliflower mashed potatoes and garnish with fresh herbs like parsley.
